Apple are holding an event called ‘Lets Rock’ on the 9th of September (tomorrow). There has been all kinds of rumours about new iPods etc. The one that interests me the most is iPhone 2.1 software update.
Most people know that the iPhone has a few bugs and no turn-by-turn navigation. Well with 2.1 hopefully coming tomorrow, we will see turn-by-turn navigation and pretty much all bugs fixed.
Another big thing is that background push notification will be released. An example of this would be - I use Palringo (IM client for iPhone) for MSN, when I close the application I will still receive instant messages.

Don’t count on Turn-By-Turn nav, but they might have it set up so that 3rd parties are able to make TbyT apps from 2.1 onwards.
Anything would do, as long as its not pricey as hell
