Hey guys,

Well this is my first post since WizzKid gave me full admin powers on the site and i would just like to ask you guys if you like the current skin or whether you would like a change. Basically, I think we can get it back to the skin that it was before this one (if you can remember it), or keep this one, or just find a completely new one. You guys can post your vote in the comments of this post and the if there’s a majority vote, i’ll see what I can do.

So your choices are: Keep this one/ Back to the original one/ Completely new one.

Thanks,

Blackwatch

Hey guys,

Some of you will know this already and others may not. Basically a few months ago, the authors of WizzHack decided that it would be a good idea to make a forum. This forum would not be dedicated specially for tech… (although it would be included), instead it was going to be for everything that we thought was interesting. (E.g. Games, films, reviews, tutorials, social networking) just everything basically. Now when the forum was opened, it was a big hit… we had a few members that were posting practically non-stop, we also had a fair amount of visiting members that would post a couple of times then leave. Now what I want to do is to try to re-vamp the forums and try to get more people to stay around and post regularly… any ideas that you have that you think will help, would be greatly appreciated in the comments of this post.

What I would like you guys to do that would be a great help is just to go to the forum, look through all the topics (old ones as well) and post as much as you can. The more active people are, the more active the forum is and basically, the better it will be. So visit the forum, sign up if you haven’t already and get posting.

Thanks a lot guys,

Hey guys,
I just saw this on the news this evening and so I thought i’d do a little game update for you all. Basically there was a highly anticipated, game being released called “little big planet”. The game has got experts very excited, because a big part of it is about using the game to create levels which you can then put online, and let other people rate and play.

Well the game has been delayed because one of the songs that is used as background music in the game, has been considered offensive to Muslims. The song contains phrases from the Qu’ran (The holy book of Muslims) and mixing music and words from it could be considered deeply offensive by Muslims.
Sony has currently removed all the copies from the shops while it removes the music from the game. The game is expected to be re-released in November and will still only be available for the PS3 console.

Well that’s all folks!

Well since Wizzkid gave up on posting on WizzHack, and I don’t blame him, you 500 daily viewers should be ashamed for not commenting and showing your support. I can’t “dig” on him though. I gave up a long time ago and he has had a lot more patience than “Thou art” (me). But anyway, point I am trying to make is I thought I would take over the ol’ posting for a wile, could be one post or a thousand really don’t know. So if you are reading this, COMMENT! And say something like “I read your post” just to let me know someone did!

Anyway, what is this post about? Shorty is a web based package you can install on your sever and hosting and then shorten a url much like “tinyurl”. I found it out today wile looking for just that, proving that a little googling can do anything!

For now it appears to be only for private use, as in you need to log in to use it, and why, I ask you, would someone sign up to shorten there url, wouldn’t happen! But it is useful to use around the web and promote your site.

The install was simple and it all went smoothly!

Note: This is still in beta, so it may mess up, we just don’t know! So if something goes wrong, you can leave a comment and I will try to help you out!

Thanks for reading!

Hey guys,

Well I’m sure a lot of you guys will already know of this feature on a windows computer… but i just found it for myself and decided to share it with you guys :D

Basically i have found a way to quickly make a desktop toolbar without having to download somebody else’s program such as “object dock”. Now obviously this is not quite as fancy, as I have not found a way to make this toolbar have layers or anything like that. However this does as a simple replacement for having shortcut icons all over your desktop. This is simple to do and is do-able in a few simple steps.

Step 1. Make a folder in your documents somewhere and fill it with the shortcuts/files that you wish to appear on your dock.

Step 2. Once you have created your folder, give it a suitable name and location in your documents.

Step 3. Copy this folder to somewhere such as your desktop and then click and drag it off the side of the screen (I’ve found the right-hand side of the screen is best).

Step 4. If you want to get rid of the icons on your desktop now (without losing them) then the way to do this is: Right click>Arrange Icons by>and then un-tick the “show desktop icons” button.

Once you have done this you should see your dock appear at the side of the screen and it should have all the shortcuts/files there that you put in the original folder. Play about with this, adding different shortcuts and dragging different shortcuts/files onto it.

You’re finished doc should look something similar to this:
Finished Toolbar

Now this is not a perfect dock and i am sure there are a few difficulties with it (such as how it will sync itself with the original folder), but give it a go and see if you like it ;)

Thanks,
David (a.k.a Blackwatch)
