Well my older post about 1.1.4 not supporting the Apple SDK (Software Developers Kit) was a total letdown for me but since then there have been TONS of rumors and I will sum them all up for you.
2-23-08
Apple announced that the SDK will be 1-3 weeks late. There was no reason for the delay.
2-27-08
Apple invited select developers to an Apple SDK roadmap.
“Please join us to learn about the iPhone software roadmap, including
the iPhone SDK and some exciting new enterprise features,” Apple said
in an invitation sent to reporters.
This was only for a few developers and it would only be released in BETA and the final release will not be until June.
2-27-08
Confirmed that the full version will be released March 6th (changed the date of the final but this is just a rumor it could be either date.) Confirmed that the event was just a “roadmap”.

iLounge claims that Apple will have to formally review every application before put on the Apple store. Also there will be no accessory support (GPS, Wi-Fi, Camera, Phone, and more.)

Two sites had different views about the restrictions. iLounge said that Apple would have to review the applications before they were put up for download on the iTunes store. Electronista suggests that there will be no restrictions and they will be free.
…the new contact claims that free applications are not subject to the
same rules that will guide paid software downloads. In this model, free
software is unlikely to be subject to much if any scrutiny by Apple
Most of these rumors are disappointing. I am hoping for the applications to be free and there will be accessory support (after all these are rumors.) Oh well… You can always jailbreak it (NOT GOOD.)
