I had a question from N2K about what plugins I use for firefox, so I thought I would explain a little about them and at the end of the topic you can see a video of what all the plugins do. The only reason I use firefox is because it has some great plugins that makes browsing much more easier.
PicLens is a great plugin to view your pictures. The plugin is for Firefox, its great for viewing pictures in a cool 3D-View. Once you have down a Google Image Search then hover over any image and you will see a little play button, click that button and you can slide through all the photos on that page. This will work with more photo websites including flickr, Yahoo Images and also most social networking websites such as Bebo, Myspace and Facebook.
One thing I do not like about this is that when you perform a search through the application and have found an image you like, you cannot save that image onto your computer or find the URL for it, if the program developers made that a feature, it would be an awesome program. But for now its just for eye candy. I decided to do a video on PicLens:
Well, its Mozillas birthday today and I hope you know who Mozilla is. Mozilla is a company who bring you many great pieces of software and with-out a doubt the most popular has to be Firefox. Thousands of people use Firefox daily, with a great community and great plugins, its one of the best browsers out there right now! Mozilla started March 31 1998 when they launched their first ever piece of code.
I just want to say I use Firefox every single day on all three of my computers, its just without-a-doubt my favorite browser out there!
I think once before I have mentioned the plugin ScribeFire for Firefox, well I thought I would do a video overview of the plugin, the video will not go into great detail but will touch on topics you might like to know. ScribeFire is a great plugin and if you are an author for any blog i recommend trying this.
Heres the video:
I just want to say thanks to Christopher Finke from Scribefire for mentioning my video on their blog.
Ages ago when I was on google I came across this random site and wow, it’s great! Wikipedia can be a bit of a bore sometimes but you can find anything on this.
Ok so what it is. People write articles called nodes on it and they get linked to similar ones. Say you were reading about “Ten reasons people hate Microsoft” it would have, at the bottom some hyper-links to similar “nodes” i.e. “Windows” and “My 1st pc” etc.
Great website but I’d be careful you dont waste too much time..
Oh I didn’t even say what it was called! Everything2!
