Yes, this is another post about Google and how great they are!

I use Gmail as my main email as I have told you in other posts. It offers so much more than other free email suppliers do. I have had my gmail account since the beginning. One of my friends got 100 invites, and he invited me to ‘Beta Test’ and get a feel for the Gmail Experience! Earlier today I noticed that the amount of messages you can now store on your gmail account. When I start it used to be 2GB - which was more than enough!

Now it is:

I have a ridiculous amount of emails, must be well over 5000 and I have only used 2% of the amount I am allowed. The Gmail inbox size is constantly growing, the above screenshot was taken about 4 hours ago, and now the size has gone up 3MB. That is another reason why gmail is the best webmail client!

As I was going through my RSS Feeds….ok I seem to always start with that line, what else can I say? Anyway, a great blog gHacks.net, did a report about G-Archiver, and this report was scary. I have thousands of emails stored on Gmail and change my password weekly, if I get hacked on gmail, I have pretty much lost just out everything!

G-Archiver is a program that allows you to back-up all your gmail emails, this software did cost money!

This is an extremely evil program…Dustin Brooks reverse engineered the program and discovered the plain text username and password of the software developers gmail account, he didn’t understand why a developer would put this information into a program…he looked into it more and found that every username and password entered into this program was sent directly to him!

Dustin logged into the developers account and found 1777 usernames and passwords of everybody that has used the program, pretty terribly if you ask me. If you have used G-Archiver then please change your password immediately. Check out this screenshot:
