Hey guys,
Well it might be a bit late in the week but it’s time for the WizzHack weekly song. This week’s song is “Stop and Stare” by “One Republic”.

Well I thought I would start doing a weekly song because quite a lot of the other authors are doing weekly somethings. This weeks song will be: Elvis Aint Dead by Scouting For Girls because I personally think this is a great song!

Hey all…
I’m Blackwatch and a new author here… Many of you will know me already from the wizzhack forums. I have followed the wizzhack blog for quite a while now and just asked my friend wizzkid about becoming an author.
I’m 14 years old and live in a town called Inverurie in the north-east of Scotland. Not a lot to do here so you will normally find me sitting at the computer. I have two computers… both are quite good (just a bit over average).
I like to play America’s Army and I am on the version 2.6. My username is [SES]_Blackwatch and I am in the same clan as Wizzkid.
I hope to be a good author and be around for a whil. ^_^

Now, I had a first gen iPod Mini, and t found it so-so, not worth its hype, but not a bad thing, it was an MP3 player, thats all I wanted. But what put me off iPods, was iTunes, at the time, it was a piece of crap! Seriously, slow, ugly and badly arranged, just couldn’t get the job done. I swore never to use it unless I really had to.
So, my little cousin got a new Nano (3rd Gen) but, god bless her, she cant work a toaster never mind a computer, so I told her I’d put her stuff on it for her.
So I went onto the PC, downloaded iTunes, and low-and-behold, this is NOT the iTunes I remember! Fast, smooth and effective, this is AMAZING! Much better than what it once was! I especially like the cover flow feature, so much infact, I’ve gotta put a screen shot of it up ^_^
Please note that all the music you see is my 11 year old cousins, and that I’ve been doing this all day and its half one in the morning, therefore if I get any “Ha! You like high school musical” comments, you’ll understand why I’m going to hunt you down and beat you to death with a high school musical CD!

Alright, I rarely buy software, I use freeware and free trials, because I’m a cheap bas*ard. But this thing is just amazing. I’m doing its review in parts, because I’ve not yet used all of its features, but I dont have much free time nowadays, so it could be months before I get to.
This part will focus on the ripping/burning capibilities. Its got a lot more options than WMP, with many rip formats available. It can rip your music into MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC & WAV. And all of them have fully changeable settings(Bitrate & all that). Naturally, you can choose where your files are stored and sorted with ease. Like any decent ripper, it imports your music details, but still leaves them open for editing. One thing that stood out was, (I’m not sure as I dont have a Blu-Ray drive) but I’ve heard its Blu-Ray burner is very good too. It comes with a Normal and and Advanced preset, for people who are and arent experts. But either way, its interface is just amazingly easy to navagate and works beautifully.
