Well I am a huge fan of pretty much everything Google, I cannot give a bad name to them, ever. So heres another great feature that Google offer to us website owners, Google Website Widgets. If you have ever used iGoogle, then you will understand what a Google Widget is, if you haven’t let me explain…
Google Widget’s are web applications that are designed by either Google or members of the public, these web applications can range from news reader to games. There are hundreds and thousands of Google Widgets, and these can all be added to your website.
These can give your website a huge advantage, and there are so many to choose from and all different kinds of categories, I don’t use any on WizzHack as they wouldn’t fit into my design, but I am sure you can find a Website Widget for you!
A user on the ShoutBox called Vidar left a comment; Wizzhack, I have a great website. www.hab.la, at first I thought this was spam as I have never had a comment like that, and the URL isn’t exactly…well doesn’t make much sense, but when I checked the website out, it was something all blogs should have!
What hab.la is, is basiclay a way to chat to your websites visitors instantly, all you need to do is get a program that supports jabber and insert a tiny bit of code onto your website, its that simple!
As you can see on the bottom right of WizzHack Homepage ‘click here to chat’, so you click it, and if I’m online then you can talk with me, but if im not online you’ll see this; “No one is available for chat right now. Please try again later.“, as soon as I reply to you, it will turn red and notify that you have a reply!
This allows you to ask me a question, or just say how you feel about WizzHack!
This is mainly aimed at Web Masters or Server Admins, as I was reading through the RSS feeds, Chris wrote a great post about Monitoring Your Website’s Uptime, I tried both of the example he gave and I thought Mon.itros.us was the best, check them out: http://mon.itor.us/. It offers a really nice clean design, with everything you need in a handy drop-down menu!
When you start monitoring your website(s) Mon.itros.us will send you an instant email as soon as your website goes down, this is very handy if you are away from your PC, and you are able to check your emails on your mobile. They offer detailed graphs about your up-time, will give you an example later on (when I have something to graph).
Hopefully my uptime will be 100%, but we will see.
For some people that want a blog, but don’t have a clue about web design, MySQL and basic coding then it will be a huge challenge for them to install a Wordpress powered blog. It took me a while to install wordpress, as it was the first time I have properly dealt with MySQL etc…
Now I am more comfortable with install Wordpress, I am offering my help. I have helped many users create blogs using wordpress, and its been successful! So if you would like a blog set-up, then I will help you for free. I will help from the start, choosing hosting to getting started writing your first post!

I have no idea how it works, but it just does…I have only tested it in Firefox, but I am sure it will work in any browser. The code I am about to give you allows you to change any part of the website you want, add text and edit images etc…just alter different things! gHacks suggested that you could edit a website, and then take a screenshot and send it to a friend, pretending something actually happened.
You have got to remember, do not believe all screenshots that are taken from a website, as photoshop and this script can change anything!
When you are at a website, I suggest trying it on mine… enter the above code into your URL box, and hit enter.Now select some text and press delete, if it has worked properly then you can add your own test anywhere!
