Hey Guys,
Well I have a had a lot of questions about running Nintendo DS Roms after I posted Google Hacking - Nintendo DS Roms!
So I am going to go through what you need, and what you do!
I am only going to speak about one method, as this is the only one I am safe with, and I know it works with-out killing your NDS!
Step 1: First you need to buy the right things, you will need:
- Micro SD Card
- Card Reader
- M3 DS Simply
Card Reader - You will need this to put ROM’s onto your NDS, you can get them very cheap: Kingston 15 in 1. Make sure you get a card reader that supports SD Card. I know above I said Micro SD Card but when you buy a Micro SD Card it will come with an SD adapter. NOTE: Some M3 DS Simply packs come with a special USB card reader (only supports Micro SD cards) but it still works well!
Micro SD Card - Size matters. I have a 1GB card, and that just does me! I have about 15 Games on my Micro SD Card and some homebrew applications! It depends what you want, bigger the better 
- 2GB Sandisk!
M3 DS Simply - This is the main thing you need! I bought mine from Amazon from a Seller! But it doesn’t really matter where you get it, the best place is to Google It, heres a link to one Amazon is selling: M3 DS Simply Amazon.
Step 2: Once you have all that, then follow my guide on getting NDS Roms through google or check this other post out: Rom Websites.

theres no point buying them now, most websites are closed down so its hard to download the roms for the games.

i know I’ve started fairly late but I’m still trying to find an easier way of obtaining an M3 thing…
I’ve googled it and without going through ebay there’s no wa to get it… plus atm buying online is not an option for me….. so…
hi i bought this games and music pack and it has sd hole 4 sd card is has crap 25 games on it but when i download roms to it and click on it it just freezes what is wrong with it if u go to http://www.argos.co.uk and type nintendo ds and go to page 3 at the bottom u will see what it is called games and music if u look could u please tell me what im doing wrong thanx m8

hi, can some one help!! ive got a games n music card for my ds.it comes with 25 games and a link tob the homebrew site to get more, but i need to work out why the game files on mycard are just standard .nds file types (the same as the ones i use on my emulators.) …..yet when i try to use them on my card i just get a white screan. ive racked my brains and all i can come up with is the homebrew roms that i can run have 2, 3, or 4 files in the game folder. there are ……
eg; fishtank.nds
fishtank.ds.gba
fishtank.sc.nds
and a text doc with the rom site address
now only one of those actually runs on my ds the rest either dont work or show up as a ?
from what i can see the file that runs is the fishtank.nds. so here`s my problem….why do you need the other files? and why dont my nds roms that work perfectly well on my emulator work on my ds? oh yeah and how do i get the .ds.gba file and the . sc.nds files?!!! its getting rite on my wick now!!! cant work out\the differance in the files and its bugging me big time!!!!!!!!! hate it when i dont know why it wont do some thing!!! any way help urgently needed!!!!!! ive got all the homebrew games i can find and im bored with them. so any other home brew sites would be appreciated. or maybe a programme i can chuck the roms in and get the other file types.? many thanks to the clever so and so that can help me ………

Thanks for your question, thats a lot to cover, so here is my answer:
The only file you need is whatevergame.NDS just ignore .ds.gba and .sc.nds as they do not matter for users who are using a “games and music card”.
Some ROMs might be corrupt so maybe try another? I know I have had corrupt ROMs that do not work on the NDS.
What emulator are you using? One for your computer I am guessing. I do not understand why the ROMs work on the Emulator and dont work on the NDS its self, thats extremely strange….
I think you might have a corrupt NDS ROM or file, try downloading others.
What music and game card are you using? The name would be good as I could help you more.

thanks for your reply, i thought at 1st it was just me….lol…. then i thought it was a dodgy file, so i got the same files from may different places and have even checked its not a dodgy sd card, and even changed to my daughters ds! i think ive tried pretty much every thing. im using a GAMES N`MUSIC CARD MADE BY DATEL DESIGN LTD with a 256mb micro sd card. the music and vid`s work fine its just the games. all i have worked out is that any games i have that run are from http://www.ndshb.com site. and they have the other files in the zip. ive got about 5gb of roms and emulators and i really hope the arnt all useless for my ds. id like to learn more about these game files . i know obviously they are roms but how can i make/fix them, change between rom types as for the ds, snes etc, i have emulators on my laptop for just about every console i can find. i really need to at least work out why it wont work cos its really bugging me now, lol… ive got the ; dsemu and the (iDeaS) emulator aswell as the ensata and they all seem pretty stable with my roms. sorry to throw so much at you in one go, !!! any help would be great. if you like i could send you the roms that are giving me jip! maybe you can tell whats going on with them,…..anyway many thanks ….

ok, thank you. We now know how to get the game from the PC to the sd card.
How do we back up an original DS cartridge on to the PC for later use.
What equipment and software is needed.
We do not want to download already “ripped” roms we just want to make backups of “original” ones we own incase the original gets damaged or lost.
I have ordered a Superkey Card for my Nintendo and have downloaded a few games which are on my SD Card. Most of them are .nds but 2 or 3 files are .rar … Will the .rar files work or do they have to be extracted or something?
You have to extract the .rar files with a program called WinRar (just google it)

Okay,, I have found a link to your recomended websites, but still cant find an amozon sellerf or the M3 DS SIMPLY.
Also, if i downloaded a game that had a file type of : ZIP, will it still work on my nintendo ds ?
