I have had a few questions about Hacking the iPod Touch.

The main one is ‘Why hack it?’

Well I hacked my iPod touch on the first day it was available for hacking, I had to do it the longest way possible (going through and typing loads of commands in apples Terminal (similar to MS DOS). I did it, and dont regret doing it. It opens your iPod Touch up to do so many wonderful things. I have done a few posts on the iPod Touch and I will link them at the end of this post.

When you manage to hack the iPod Touch, you can run 3rd party applications on it, there are hundreds of different applications to choose from! When you hack it, you are given an app called installer.app and what this application does is connect to your wi-fi and allow you to choose from loads of different games and applications - you download them straight onto your hacked iPod Touch.

You can also run the applications Mail, Stocks, Weather and Maps (the ones that were on the iPhone). There is also a hack that allows you to add things onto the calendar, which has proved very handy for me!
